    Description

Here is a heavily reinforced step stretch that I can tell is overbuilt. When you go bigger than a 60ton capacity in this model the engineers go to a T1 fabricated outer "I" beam to tie the crossmembers into. Also they still use the chanelled crossmembers which typically has issues being "crushed" point loading. Well this trailer also has upgraded fully fabricated "I" beam crossmembers too which eliminates the possibility of that problem occuring. And then the first 10' of the deck has the "I" beam crossmembers on 8" centers which helps even more. And then it has a thicker apitong flooring on top of that. And then you don't have that rub rail to chain toas you have D-rings to use now. And then you can add even more D-rings. And then the trailer was reinforced to not just run a 3+2 rear, but a 4+2 rear which takes more steel. And then they upgraded the 2" pins to 2 1/2" pins which was not completely necessary, but they did anyway. And then the 1st "intermediate flip axle was heavily flanged more to except a 2 axle stinger pinned behind it as a typical intermediate flip axle is not initially reinforced to handle that kind of stress, only to handle a single axle stinger behind it. Trailer was only used for a couple of loads. It is not hurt at all. The jeep has actually been used way more than the trailer. I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't look bad with 75tons on it depending on how much stretched out and how the load sets and is secured. I actually have had a couple of XL 65ton step stretches built in the past with the same deck height and this trailer weighs quite a bit more reinforcing my opinion on how overbuilt it is to the rating it was given. Total empty weight of everything is 51,000#, so you can actually be 100% legal on weight, length, and width when empty.
